Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on the 21st of September, 1983 in Worthington Ohio is an American actor. She is best known for her roles as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills as well on ABC's Lost TV show. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington in Ohio, dropped out of high school in order to move in Los Angeles after her divorced parents. Although she was struggling financially and in the beginning, she made her acting debut acting as Rachel's Room's main character. In 2002, she was nominated for a Young Artist Award with her role as 15-year old murdered Martha Moxley. Grace Rutherford played the lead actor in Lost in its two initial seasons. In 2004, she won the Screen Actors Guild Award with the entire ensemble. Grace, who had worked together with Tom Welling on The Fog in the year 2005, decided to make the move into the world of film. She also was in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and, opposite the Liam Neeson character Kim Mills as Kim Mills in Taken. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) were her reprises of role. Grace played the role of Shannon in Lost, including the finale. In 2013, she was in the seventh season Californication. She is Faith an actress who serves as a model for the stars and catches the attention of Hank Moody (David Duchovny). Gyllenhaal is a part of the family and is the elder sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. Her first roles were in films of her father in his adolescent years. Together with her brother she also appeared on the screen in Donnie Darko (2000). Then she appeared on the screen in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind as well as Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). The leading roles of Gyllenhaal in Secretary, a romantic comedy-drama erotico, as well as Sherrybaby (a drama) received her nominations for Golden Globe Awards. The Dark Knight, which was released in 2008 after several highly successful films including World Trade Center (2006), brought Gyllenhaal greater fame. For her performance as the single mother, in Crazy Heart (2009) she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Gyllenhaal made her debut as a writer and director in 2021 with her drama about psychological issues The Lost Daughter. For this movie, she received the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and nominated for an Academy Award.
