Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. Her early years were shaped by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the traditional romantic, ranchero, as well as romantic ballads. Ana is a lover of the opera and tango genres as well as any form of dramatic performance. Following her singing lessons with mom at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous training in vocals at age 16 under the tutelage of the renowned Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in an institution called the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. While a young student and professional, she sang with various chamber groups as well as opera choirs in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. In 2000 she moved back to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she settled in her home in southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is passionate about performing, music, as well as the arts keeps active in community projects both as an artist and instructor. Ana is also an ex-member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to have the opportunity to bring to others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can help younger generations keep the tradition alive.
